It stood out to me because he said in order to not be victimized by technology we need to prepare ourselves by learning more about the new things generation brings so that we will be prepared for the next thing. Another thing that stood out to me was the fact that he said that he did not have a smart phone because he didn't want one. Every set of generations do this. Roy Christopher grew up with the television being native to him, while generations before him were digital tourists to it.
